Nigora joined the Jessup in 2017, as a member of the Tashkent State University’s Team. She and her team were the first generation of the Jessup Competitors of the Tashkent State University of Law, who competed in the National Rounds for the first time since 2006.

Why Jessup?

I decided to participate in this competition because I am interested in international law. It was very interesting to act as a party in a simulated court session. Jessup attracts with its scale and cases covering various areas of international law.

How has Jessup experience changed you?

Jessup expanded my knowledge of international law, case law and customary law. Also, this competition helped to improve the skills of public speaking and argumentation.

What was the most memorable moment of your participation in the Jessup?

It is difficult to highlight the most memorable moment, as every minute of the competition left a lasting impression. The process of preparation and the day of the competition will remain in my memory for a long time.

What advice would you give to the future generations of Jessup participants?

I would like to advise future participants of Jessup to carefully study the rules of the competition, never stop searching for answers to questions, to devote all their time to careful preparation and be able to work in a team.
